Diversity & Inclusion Committee
Mission
The mission of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee is to help promote diversity across the judiciary and to further the Federal Court Clerks Association’s efforts to promote professionalism, integrity, and distinctness in the federal judiciary.
Vision
The Committee will:
- Encourage full and equal participation in the FCCA by all eligible individuals as members and leaders, without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, gender identity, disability, or any unique attribute.
- Generate awareness and appreciation of diversity through educational platforms and training aides throughout the year and at annual conferences.
- Work closely with the Education Committee to ensure informative resources are timely presented that shed light on bias, whether explicit or implicit, and encourage honest and open communication.
- Help eliminate barriers formed by social misbehaviors and insensitivity.
- Encourage recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce.
