Disaster Relief Fund
Hurricane Laura has impacted the homes of several of our colleagues in the Lake Charles Division of the Western District of Louisiana. Flooding, high winds, and power outages have caused unspeakable damage.
Almost 90 devastating wildfires continue to burn out west, forcing more than 220,000 people to evacuate across California, Oregon and Washington, and it could be weeks before many can go back home. We have heard from the court in Oregon that a clerk’s office employee lost the employee’s house and all possessions to fire, and others are still under evacuation orders and are uncertain of their losses.
Hurricane Sally has caused a lot of flooding in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. We are still awaiting word if any court staff have been directly affected by this storm.
It is during times like these, uncertain and undefined, that the Federal Court Clerks Association (FCCA) assists our colleagues in need. The FCCA has been asked to collect contributions for our court family members who have been affected by this horrific storm.
Clearly, it is too early for those who have suffered damage to think about repairs. However, we would like to begin our fundraising efforts as soon as possible.
You may submit a credit card payment by clicking the DONATE button below, or you may send a check payable to the Federal Court Clerks Association with a memo notation “Disaster Relief Fund” to:

All funds donated will be distributed directly to those court personnel who sustained documented losses. Please note that contributions to this relief fund are not tax deductible, as the FCCA is not a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, but rather a 501(c)(6) educational corporation.
