2023 Financial Training Seminar


On behalf of the Federal Court Clerks Association (FCCA), we are pleased to announce that registration is open for the Financial Training Seminar. Please read this entire message for important information. If you are receiving this message as the Court Unit Executive, we hope that you will join us, but please feel free to share the email with the staff that you would like to attend. The Seminar will be held in Bloomington, Minnesota on June 27-29, with travel days on June 26, 2023 and the afternoon of June 29, 2023. The conference hotel is attached to the Mall of America and adjacent to the Minneapolis, Minnesota airport (MSP). A free light rail stops near the hotel to allow attendees to visit Minneapolis.

REGISTRATION
Each person must register individually and not as a group. Registration is on a first come, first served basis and if the conference is sold out, a waiting list will be instituted. Any open spot will be offered to the individual on that list in the order in which their registration was received.


**Please note, that the registration and hotel reservations are two separate steps.**

Step 1: You must register by clicking HERE. You do not need to be a member of the FCCA to attend the Seminar. If you are a member of the FCCA, please login to the website during registration.

Step 2: After successfully completing your conference registration, you will immediately receive an email from the FCCA with a link to book your hotel room. Your hotel room must be booked immediately after complete registration to secure a reservation.

** Again, this is a two-step process that must be completed simultaneously to secure your space. **



PAYMENT
The registration cost of the Financial Training Seminar is $300 per attendee and will include breakfast each morning.

Registration can be paid to the FCCA via purchase order or credit card. If you are paying the registration fee via purchase order, when you come to the payment page, you will select the “Pay Later” button at the bottom of the page.

At the conclusion of the training, an invoice will be emailed to the submitter of the purchase order.

The hotel rooms are at the per diem rate of $148 a night and each attendee is responsible for payment directly to the hotel.

SESSION INFORMATION
The first day of the Seminar will be dedicated to Internal Controls, while day two and the morning of day three will have three simultaneous sessions throughout the days where attendees can choose the training they would like to attend. Day two will also have sessions all day on JEDS and JICS (Judiciary Inventory Control System), while two other sessions will be concurrently offered. Attached is a draft agenda and we will update the agenda as the date of the Seminar becomes closer.

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS
When the FCCA organizes events, we sign contracts with the hotel and other vendors. Under these contracts, we have made monetary commitments to them.

  • Event registrations for the Financial Training Seminar cancelled on or before May 1, 2023, will receive a full refund.

  • If a registration is canceled between May 2, 2023 and May 15, 2023, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded.

  • Registrations cancelled on or after May 16, 2023, will not be refunded.

To cancel a registration, send an e-mail to questions@fcca.ws and include FCCA Event Cancellation in the subject line. If you cancel your registration, you cannot substitute another court employee in your place if we have a waiting list to attend the event.
